Biology/Ecology

Identifying Features:
Body generally black and with a tinge of dark reddish hue.
Length from head to apex of abdomen about 1.5cm (compare to Sycanus sp. 1).
Anterior lobe of pronotum smooth.
Basal two-thirds of corium black and the apical one-third dark yellow (compare to Sycanus sp. 1).
Degree of curvature of connexivum segments is highest at the third connexival segement and the rest of the segments forming a gentler slope (compare to Sycanus sp. 1)
